January reading...

This month I read this book.
Radical by David Platt is convicting and challenging, and I recommend it. Rather than go into a lengthy review of the book myself, I refer you to the professionals at Discerning Reader.
Radical reminded me of Crazy Love by Francis Chan, which I also recommend.

This weekend is busy with company-

but I don't mind at all.

All the dishes to be washed are evidence of fellowship.
Evidence of God's grace to us.

We are blessed!

I should at least move you away from the heater because that was a hot run!

I'm a SUV gal...

but this video ALMOST makes me proud to drive a minivan. Almost...

I think this video is hilarious for various reasons, one being that the Sienna Dad dances like my husband.

Now, off to perfect my jello molding skills...

Reading time...

The kids LOVE reading at night.
They each grab a book and climb in bed to read for a half hour before bedtime.
I loved reading as a child, and still do.
So hearing the kids cheer for reading time makes my heart glad.

This is me...

Okay, maybe not really.
But this is pretty much how I feel.
Exhausted!
I'm actually thankful to be exhausted because I'm all tuckered out from moving into our own place!
Totally worth it.
Thank you, LORD!

Better than I know myself...

My sweet friend pointed out to me how much I liked birds.
No.
Really?
I didn't think so.
But after she said it I realized that yes, many things I "like" have birds on them!

We are still surrounded by boxes but I couldn't resist the urge to do a little decorating last night.
"Home" just sounds wonderful.
